3) Stay Disconnected First Thing In The Morning. Choose to do something that isn’t news or technology related. 

The truth is the moment you reach for the phone, you are already opening up your brain to unfiltered and sometimes unwanted info.  

4) Take a moment to ground down in yourself, and mentally reset your mind, taking a moment to prepare yourself for whatever may come your way.

It can be drinking tea, doing a morning skincare routine, taking a shower, going for a run, practicing self-talk therapy where you repeat affirmations to yourself or meditating.

5) Do One Thing That Brings You Happiness. 

Doing one thing that brings you pure joy and happiness with the realms of health for yourself and/or others will be something to look forward to at the start of your day. 


It will give you a little bit more peace, purpose, and make you feel like you’re still making your wants and your  needs a priority. 


Prioritizing one thing that makes you happy, allows you to dive deeper into the practice of self-care.  

6) Take It One Step At A Time And Be Flexible While Being Intentional 

Feel free to go slow and to focus on one task at a time. Be kind to yourself if you don’t get everything done on that to-do list. 

It’s okay to fall off balance, to mix it up, and most importantly to to be flexible. 

Somethings will become habits, others will be harder to maintain. The point is by allowing yourself to create space for a peaceful routine you can begin to explore living a fuller and productive day entirely on your terms.

What is the First Limb of Yoga? Universal Love, the Yamas and the Niyamas.
