SAYING NO TO SUGAR AND YES TO FLEXIBILILTY

Find your balance.....soothe your  mind, and re-energize your spirit

So, unless we are consuming fruit, let's make a conscious effort not to consume any sugar, sweet drinks, or sweet snacks again this week. It will take a few days to get started, let's give ourselves a little help, but when it comes to yoga, Diet is very much an important part of our yoga practice.

 

Let's replace those sweet drinks with water. Eliminating sugar is going to be our best reward, because sugar increases inflammation in the body. At the end of the week, let's not put ourselves into any stress, if you want that sweet thing, just don't over do it. There are so many foods that have sugar added, we will always need to be careful and mindful about what we're adding to our plate. 

 

Just remember, sugar increases inflammation in our body. Period. Eliminating sugar, reduces inflammation, but for some reason, not completely.

Find your favorite fresh fruit and create your "I Need a "Sweet  Aha" Moment".

When it comes to fruits you can also Create your own "take me away" feeling in the comfort of your own home, or even while you are working. A combination of lemon, mint and lavendar always has an amazing impact on

brain, to provide clarity of thought, while relaxing the mind. This is actually a rather powerful combination and worthy of discussion and exploration. The same is true if you enjoy watermelon or cantelope.  Take a drive to your nearest farmer's market, inhale the sweet aroma in the air, and realize, it's the fresh air and the fresh fruit. 

 

Find your favorite fruit to create a relaxing, "Sweet Aha Moment" even when you are traveling.
