Once again in support of the National Office on Women's Health Events were registered throughout the country, and our Online Discussion was registered as an online event. National Women's Health Week, May 11-16, 2009,  Serenity With Denise hosted an  Online Discussion on Women's Health,   in partnership with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office on Women's Health.   Presidential Proclamation on Women's Health Week President Obama Issued A Proclamation In Support of National Women's Health Week, May 2010. American Diabetes Association The American Diabetes Association has a webpage that is full of information and support!  Scroll down to Events (lower right side of webpage) and click on Details to find a local walk/run event in your area. Did you know there is a walk scheduled for Washington, DC on October 23, 2010?  There are also local events you can participate in leading up to the walk. In Support of Breast Cancer Awareness Major League Baseball has partnered with the Susan G. Komen crusade to fight breast cancer, and raise awareness. Last year, 2009, the SFGiants included a  message from my son Emmanuel to women, in support of breast cancer awareness. All MLB batters wore pink wristbands and used pink bats during their Mother's Day games. Support StompMS.org Please allow me to introduce you to the founder of a wonderful organization, Stomp MS Foundation, Inc. and the fabulous young woman behind this informative website, developed to increase our awareness of Multiple Sclerosis. StompMs.org has partnered with the National MS Walk which takes place each year and we support the event registered in Bowie, MD.  The Heart Truth National Campaign Celebrate American Heart Month with The Heart Truth, a National Heart Awareness campaign for women about heart disease. Since I can remember being old enough, my mother volunteered me to knock on doors and help raise awareness, by collecting for the National Heart Association. Thanks Mom for leading me in this direction of giving. February Is American Heart Month Did You Vote for Your Favorite Red Dress?   To support February as American Heart Month, Designer Nicole Miller designed three dresses in support of the Go For Red, Women's Health Movement. You probably received the email inviting you to vote.   Click on this link to see if your dress won. Mine did!   For every vote, Campbell’s Soup donated $1.00 to the Go For Red  Women’s Movement. President Barack Obama's Executive Proclamation  President Barack Obama issued an Executive Proclamation declaring March, Women's History Month.  Women's Day has been celebrated  throughout the Christian community, in celebration of women's history.
